By Benjamin Shapiro

We pay for good days

With sunburnt skin

And hoarse voices;

With sore muscles,

Scabby knees,

Sticky hands,

Popsicle lips.

We pay for good days

With sleepy eyes,

Grass stained jeans,

Flip flop blisters,

Pollen filled noses,

And full stomachs.

We pay for these days,

A cheap price,

For memories,

Laughter,

And friends.
