By Benjamin Shapiro
The ebony liquid steams in my cup

As Fyodor abandons his sons,

Slight bitterness fills my mouth,

As Ivan struggles in poverty and

Dimitri wants his due.

I swallow heavily

As death surrounds the boys.

The drink energizes as

Alyosha returns home,

He who judges no one

Not even me.
